    Our activities complex processing of b-products originating in wine-making plants. Earlier these by-products, considered to be waste, such as the marc of grapes, wine lees and several different clarification sediments, used to bemostly thrown out or poured out onto the ground, thus polluting the environment, or perhaps some brandy would be extracted from a smaller quantity of them. Real, environment-protecting utilization of by-products in the wine-producing industry was started by the Kunfehértó plant in 1970. Over the past 30 years Arany Kapu Ltd. has become the largest processing company of the by-products of wine production in Hungary. It is the only plant in our country that processes the above-mentioned materials in a complex way, i.e.: several different products are made from base material of one kind only. In addition to the processing of wine -industry by-products - as part of the viticulture verticum - we are also occupied in concentrating grape-juice. Again, during the past few years we have played an important part in the voluntary wine distillation declared by the government serving to clear wine surpluses.

 Wine Brandy  Arany Kapu Ltd. is the largest wine-producing company in Hungary. According to customer's requirements we make wine-brandies of medium and high alcoholic strength for the production of different kinds of brandies. Our company also takes on the maturation of medium alcoholic strength wine-brandy. In our cellarage we store wine-brandies maturated mostly for 4-6 years. Our oldest wine-brandy is over 30 years old.

 Apricot Brandy The largest apricot plantations of the Great Hungarian Plain are situated in our area. The most widespread indigenous variety is the Gönc Hungarian apricot, which - thanks to its outstanding essences of perfume taste and flavour - is excellent basic material for producing brandy. Our apricot brandy - sought after both at home and abroad - is produced mainly from this variety of apricot.

 Pear Brandy  Apricot and pear brandy are the two most wanted brandies in the Hungarian market. Our pear brandy is produced with a special method exclusively from the discreetly fragranced Kiffer pears with their elegant aroma which are widespread in our environs.

 Cherry Brandy The only real cherry brandy made exclusively from fruit, which has become a much liked drink with its harmony of flavour and fragrance in Hungary and other countries.

 Marcbrandy In production Quantity it is only second to our wine-brandy. We have several different brandies in our collection from the strikingly featured traditional marcbrandy to the repeatedly rectified elegant grappa-like drinks. We deal with the separate treatment of different kinds of grape pomace ( muscaz, wine of the first press, etc. ), and the production of marcbrandies of unique and special character, which are most popular with our customers.

 Quince Brandy, Elderberry Brandy These fruit brandies, distilled experimentally in small batches, have been highly placed at national brandy competitions. Their exceptionally fine fragnance and aroma characteristic of the fruit rouse pleasant old memories. We recommend them to lovers of traditional brandies.

Brandy VSOP

 

An amber-coloured brandy of matchless quality, which is made by the selection and matching of the best possible wine-distillates, the flavour and aroma substances of which are perfected in the course of long maturation. It is aged in small, thick-grained oak-barrels for over 10 years, which makes it unique amongst Hungarian brandies. This product has won gold medals for several years running at national drink-competitions and has earned the acknowledgement of the National Wine Qualifying Committee. The uniquely designed, elegant bottle emphasieses the noble character of the drink. We recommended it for making ceremonial moments memorable and also as a final drink after an exquisite meal.

Green Walnut Liqueur

 

 

 

This special Hungarian drink is made according to our grandmothers' centuries-old recipe from the fruits of the shady walnut-trees on lowland farms. It is unique in the market of Hungarian drinks, as its flavour and fragrance are provided exclusivly by genuine fresh wlnuts and spices, with no artifical aromas. We recommend this liqueur speciality for special occasions with the finest desserts and coffee, as it were to top off your meal. It also appeals to ladies, and its beautiul bottle may be a decoration in the coctail cabinet. Our products are decorated with another local pride - the motifs of the world famous Halas Lace which have been produced since 1902. Like our drinks they are an example of the peak of perfection

 

Halas Apricot Brandy  This fine drink fully preserves and flavour of the Hungarian apricots which are second to none all over the world. It is made one hundred per cent from fruits ripened in Little Cumania - a district of South Central Hungary. Tasting this product gives real enjoyment to the lovers of high quality Hungarian pálinkas, to men and women alike.

 

 

Halas Cherry Brandy  This real pálinka preserves the atmosphere and discreet flavour of cherries, which are pot-stilled in a traditional way. This makes it possible that the harmony of the fragrance and flavour of this drink give you an unforgettable experience. This product is the only real cherry pálinka exclusively made from fruits. We recommend it to lovers of specialities, as a drink for festive occasions, as an ideal present and for private consumption, as well.

 

 

Halas Pear Brandy This real pálinka is distilled using centuries-old technology from carefully selected, golden yellow 'kiffer' pears grown in the sunny lands of the Hungarian Plains. The unmistakeable, spicy fragrance and flavour recalls the image of the fresh ripe fruit. The 'kiffer' pear have been grown and enjoyed in the neighbourhood of Kiskunhalas since 1903. Now we offer its specific flavour bottled for your table.

Halas Quince Brandy  This drink reflecting the roundish shape of the quince in its flavour is made from the autumn fruit which has been undeservedly disregarded in Hungary during the past few years. Its noble sourness and special bouquet, characteristic exclusively of quinces make it a rarity in the rangeof fruit brandies. we recommend it to all who still remember the aroma of real Hungarian quince brandy and to the younger generation who would like to get acquanted with nice old flavours.

 

 Halas Marcbrandy While preserving the flavours of traditional marcbrandy, the elegance and lightness of grappa appier in this product returning to the Hungarian market. We have bottled the atmosphere of the vintage and the scent of winepressing, the discovery of which is an exceptional joy to the fastidios customer. We recommend it to brandy-lovers both as an aperitif and a digestive alongside the masterpieces of classic Hungarian cuisine.

 Must concentration, must concentrate  In addition to utilizing wine-growing by-products also concentrate must mainly on comission. Our concentrating equipment is of a film-evaporating system, it works gently at a low temperature without oxy-methyl furfural. The must concentrate made by our company - i.e. concentrated must - is excellently suitable for the completion of the natural sugar content of must and grape-mash, for the formation of the sugar content of wine and for the production of soft drinks. Our company offers a favourable leasework construction which guarantees the uniformity of both the kind of grape and its habitat. Our concentrating system is suitable for concentrating alcoholic fruitjuices ( e.g. alcoholic sour cherry juice ) and for recovering alcohol, as well.

 

Dried grape seeds  During the grape marc processing - if required - the grape seeds are separated and recovered in dried from the fresh or boiled grape pomace. Grape oil rich in essential fatty acids and unsaturated fats can be recovered from the grape seeds, which can be used for both eating cosmetic purposes.
